How long is a Sunday Assembly?

The entire event is 1 hour and 30 minutes. The Assembly program runs for about 1 hour, followed by 30 minutes of snacks and conversation. You can even stay longer to help with clean-up!

How often does Sunday Assembly Chapel Hill meet?

We have one Assembly per month, always on the second Sunday of the month at the Carrboro ArtsCenter. We also have smaller community events throughout the month, which we always post on our Meetup page.

Are children welcome at Sunday Assembly?

Yes! Your kids are welcome to attend.

How do I RSVP? Do you have a mailing list?

RSVPs are not strictly necessary, but it helps us out if you RSVP on Meetup or Facebook so we have an idea how many attendees to expect. We send out emails about three times a month, so please sign up for our email list!

Where can I buy a Sunday Assembly T-shirt?

Check out our awesome shirts on TeeSpring!

How do I volunteer?

We need volunteers to sing, play instruments, organize community events, be a speaker or suggest speakers, do a reading, organize a service project—this community is entirely volunteer-run! See our volunteer page and share your skills with us!

Is Sunday Assembly Chapel Hill a non-profit?

Yes! Sunday Assembly Chapel Hill is an Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3) tax exempt charity. Your contributions are deductible for federal income tax purposes to the full extent of the law. We recommend that you speak with your tax advisor regarding any such deductibility.

Where do my donations go?

Sunday Assembly Chapel Hill is volunteer-run and exists solely though donations. Donations go to cover our expenses like venue rental, insurance, printing, website fees, etc.
