When Bradley Bethel became director of Carrboro Film Fest five years ago, he established a new mission for the festival: to celebrate and interrogate Southern culture.
Every film selected for the festival must have a connection to the South, but that raises a series of questions every year. What is the South? What is Southern culture? What is a Southern film? What is a Southerner? Bradley will discuss these questions and more at the next Sunday Assembly.
