Our speaker this month is Fran Schindler from the Final Exit Network, a nonprofit “supporting the human right to a death with dignity.” Fran will give a prepared talk called “The Denial of Death and The Death of Denial.”
Fran is a former psychiatric nurse living in Chapel Hill, and as a volunteer she provides education and compassionate support to critically ill people making decisions about their end of life. She has been a compassionate and clear advocate featured in local, national, and international media including an interview on WRAL and on the locally produced Criminal podcast.
